Job Summary
Drive clients to and from medical, personal, or event appointments in a safe manner. Contact clients prior to pickup to confirm transportation times, escort door-to-door clients with arm support only, and ensure seat belts are buckled. Perform daily vehicle inspections, report deficiencies, and handle maintenance, fuel, and oil checks. Maintain mileage logs, submit time sheets, and attend designated training sessions. Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles, carrying groceries, and lifting assistive devices. Work flexible evening, weekend, and early morning shifts on an on-call basis with short-notice availability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers' license 'G'
- Vulnerable Police Record Check
- Valid personal automobile insurance (minimum $2,000,000 liability)
- Clean Ministry of Transportation driver record (driver abstract required)
- Must be able to work legally in Canada
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work with 24 hour notice
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, spoken and written
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate fluently in French, is an asset
- Additional language abilities an asset
