Job Summary
Driver / Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation and light caregiving support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Transport clients to and from day programs and community activities, assist with entering/exiting the vehicle, provide light caregiving support, monitor health and safety, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and complete documentation while coordinating with the Abound Health team. Role includes paid onboarding/training, flexible weekly schedule with consistent part-time hours, and potential for advancement. Strong communication, relationship-building, and professionalism required; prior IDD experience not required as training is provided. Starting pay is $17.50/hour with weekly pay and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Current automotive insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to assist with light personal-care needs when necessary
- Lifting may be required depending on client needs
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — paid training provided
