Job Summary
Pick up and return patients from their place of origin to appointments in a courteous and timely manner. Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair transfers, while ensuring passenger safety. Transport patients to hospitals or specialist offices and handle deliveries of Holter monitors and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed. Check and maintain the van daily, ensuring it is mechanically safe and clean, and report any incidents or accidents immediately. Utilize a phone as a routing system and stay in contact with the office regarding schedule changes or cancellations. Requires a valid driver's license, up to one year of driving experience, and bi-lingual English/Spanish skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Up to 1 year driving experience
- Valid Drivers license
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of local streets and addresses
- Customer service skills
- Ability to transport members in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Ability to work flexible schedule and location
- Must be able to comply with company policies and procedures
- Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Must have basic mechanical skills i.e. ability to check and fully inspect their vehicles daily
- Ability to reach, lift, carry and move objects
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit intermittently and occasionally climb
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed
- Required to wear company uniform
