Operate commercial vehicles, such as automated side loaders and roll-off trucks, to collect and transport waste materials from residential, commercial, and industrial sites to designated disposal facilities. Follow designated routes and schedules while completing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs, work orders, and route sheets. Load waste using hydraulic lifts or compactors, minimize unnecessary trips, and promptly report mechanical issues. Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards, including the 10-hour rule and 34-hour reset, while wearing PPE and using defensive driving techniques. Represent Burrtec professionally by delivering courteous customer service, addressing inquiries with empathy, and maintaining a clean cab. Flexible hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate collection schedules.
