Job Summary
CDL Driver to operate Class 8 tractors for chemical distribution, transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials ( liquids and solids ), including loading/unloading, documentation, and compliance with DOT/OSHA and Brenntag safety standards. Role involves bulk and packaged deliveries, in-plant movements, inter-company transfers, use of pumps and equipment, and maintaining safety practices with up-to-date training. Must maintain equipment, follow safety policies, and communicate with supervisor/dispatcher. Requires Class A CDL with Tanker/Bulk/Hazmat endorsements where applicable, a DOT medical card, TWIC (if location requires), ability to operate manual transmissions, and the ability to pass drug screening and background checks. Minimum education of high school diploma or GED (or US military experience) is required. The position emphasizes safe operation, regulatory compliance, and customer/vendor delivery duties, with home time and a company-wide safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL with Tanker, Bulk, and/or Hazmat Endorsement (as required for role)
- current DOT medical card
- TWIC card or proof of application (if location requires)
- ability to drive a manual transmission
- pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- reside local to area (within sixty miles)
- meet all components of driver qualifications (DQ) for employment
- read, comprehend and conduct detailed and simple instructions in English
- able to learn and operate technology-based devices (Samsara, transportation platforms)
