Job Summary
Drive company buses to transport clients safely and efficiently, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, assisting clients on and off the bus (including wheelchair-bound passengers with a wheelchair lift), and ensuring DOT and company policy compliance. Training is provided to obtain a CDL and passenger endorsement; entry is at $16/hour with progression to $17.51+/hour upon credentialing and up to $18/hour depending on licensing. Typical Monday–Friday split shifts with potential weekend work; 90–95% on the road, with some time at sites and training. Maintain professional appearance, communicate with dispatch, and collaborate with monitors, operations staff, and customers. Required to meet licensing, age, and medical card requirements; able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must possess driver license
- Valid NYS Drivers’ License – CDL Class “C” or higher with passenger endorsement or CLP
- NYS-DMV 19A qualified (or able to obtain)
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to pull and push 250 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and bend to secure wheelchair bound clients
- Ability to display empathy towards clients
- Willingness to grow within the company
