Job Summary
Operate a company-owned delivery truck to deliver materials and finished products to local job sites, staging merchandise for outgoing shipments and loading/unloading goods. Assist Operations Manager and co-workers in maintaining neat warehouse and shipping areas, ensuring all equipment remains safe and efficient. Exercise safe driving behaviors by following traffic laws and company policies, reporting accidents and mechanical problems to supervisors while keeping vehicles clean. Obtain signatures on delivery invoices, follow assigned routing schedules for timely deliveries, and attend department meetings and trainings as requested. Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance while supporting a culture of collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Presentation of a DMV report is required prior to beginning employment
- Must be 23 years of age or over
- A minimum of two years driving experience over 16ft trucks, forklifts and man lifts
- Must be familiar with the Columbus area and have the ability to read directions and use street maps to plot delivery route
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs in order to load and deliver packages
- Must be a dependable worker with the ability to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervision
- Must be proficient in computer and general internet usage
- Must be able to create a positive and productive working relationship with employees and customers
- Must be able to work independently and using effective problem-solving skills to resolve issues
- May be required to work some Saturdays for inventory
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Background check and drug screening are required prior to employment
- This position requires that an applicant possess a clean driving record for the preceding seven years in order to be added to the Company's insurance policy
