Job Summary
The Driver position supports the Arkansas Foodbank's operations by operating company-owned and leased trucks for the delivery and pickup of food. Responsibilities include complying with OSHA and DOT requirements, maintaining safety certifications, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, unloading and transferring product to coolers/warehouse, ensuring on-time deliveries, providing professional customer service, and collaborating with teammates. The role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, willingness to work in varying weather, and learningArkansas Foodbank software systems. A valid CDL (Class B with Class A preferred), clean driving record, and ability to operate material-handling equipment are required. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One-year commercial driving experience
- Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license, Class B required, Class A preferred
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a preemployment drug screening
- Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insurance required
- Must be certified to operate power industrial equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) or be able to pass power industrial certification
