Job Summary
Complete the WillScot Driver Development Program requirements to become a certified CDL driver. Operate a truck over 3 tons to deliver, relocate, and return units while performing set-ups, knockdowns, and minor repairs. Maintain vehicle safety, clean work areas, and comply with DOT policies and regulations. Train on emergency roadside repairs, set-ups, and knockdowns of units. Ensure On-Time In-Full deliveries and returns while maintaining customer relationships. Maintain truck logs, collect customer signatures, and communicate with dispatchers. Successfully complete trucking school and achieve a driving school certificate.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain a current valid Class A commercial vehicle operators license issued only by one state or jurisdiction
- Ability to pass DOT Medical Exam and obtain Commercial Motor Vehicle Medical Certification
- Good driving record
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Some knowledge of computers
- Good communications skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Enroll and successfully complete trucking school and achieve a truck driving school certificate from a certified and approved CDL Driver training school
