Job Summary
Driver role with World Courier/Cencora: responsible for meeting deadlines for local pickups and deliveries, maintaining a neat and professional appearance, following specific pickup/delivery instructions, tendering and recovering shipments from airports, adhering to cold chain management, maintaining daily vehicle logs and work manifests, obtaining shipment damage reports as needed, maintaining communication with Dispatch, loading/unloading and securing cargo, and traveling to various sites. Requires ability to lift 25-70 lbs, compliance with traffic rules and safety protocols, and flexibility for overtime. Training may include Dangerous Goods, TSA, temperature monitoring, and live animal handling, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the past 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in the past year
- Drivers should have no major convictions within last 5 years: DWI/DUI, leaving the scene, careless/reckless driving, homicide or assault through use of motor vehicle, failing to elude police
- Valid driver's license without suspended/revoked status or excessive license suspensions
- Ability to lift, lower, and slide packages weighing 25 to 70 lbs
- Ability to perform loading/unloading tasks and secure loads
- Willingness to travel to any and all sites
- Ability to comply with cold chain management instructions
- Safety compliance including COVID-19 protocols
- Professional demeanor and good communication skills
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures related to this role
- TSA and Dangerous Goods training
