Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for providing efficient, cost-effective, and safe transportation services for disadvantaged persons. Essential duties include maintaining a safe driving record, ensuring the safety and proper restraint of passengers, conducting daily inspections of vehicles, and providing loading and unloading assistance. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification, and meet age requirements. This role requires maintaining confidentiality, participating in necessary training, and adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older to be covered by agency insurance
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified within 6 months of employment and every two years thereafter
- Active Driver’s License with a minimum 3-year clean driving record
- FDOT Driver - CDL preferred with passenger endorsement
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required
Desired Qualifications
- Five years driving experience preferred
- Ability to understand and address needs of clients with co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of WestCare services and programs
- Ability to comply with all statutory requirements and professional/ethical responsibilities concerning confidentiality
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Professional Ethics, Consumer Rights and Confidentiality
