Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for providing efficient, cost-effective, and safe transportation services for disadvantaged persons. Essential duties include maintaining a safe driving record, ensuring passenger safety during transit, providing support during emergencies, conducting daily vehicle inspections, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and preferably an active CDL Driver’s License. Five years of driving experience is preferred, along with the ability to meet various pre-employment checks and clearances.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified within 6 months of employment and every two years thereafter
- Active CDL Driver’s License preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Five years driving experience preferred
- Ability to meet requirements of Monroe County Sheriff’s Office background check
- Ability to provide an Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Clearance in Pre-Employment Drug Testing and Criminal Records Checks, as required
Additional Requirements
- Ability to handle a client concern/grievance according to agency protocol
- Exhibits characteristics of good workmanship, and integrity on the job
