Job Summary
Deliver Halperns’ products to customers on-time and accurately using tractor-trailer equipment; communicate customer issues to management and maintain professional, safe operation of vehicle; perform daily pre/post trip inspections and monitor temperature; ensure accurate deliveries and handle related paperwork and payments as part of customer service; maintain cleanliness and organization of truck cab/trailer; protect company funds and comply with DOT policies while building positive relationships with customers and peers.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months previous driving experience
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license
- DOT Medical Card
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language
- Ability to operate a van, straight truck and/or tractor-trailer CMV as appropriate
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 350 pounds
- Ability to perform pre/post trip inspections
- Safety/compliance regulations adherence
- Professional appearance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong customer-service orientation
