Job Summary
Drive food and supplies between Oakland and Concord using the company truck, delivering interoffice mail and purchasing or transporting supplies. Perform basic maintenance, assist with stocking kitchen inventory, and help lift boxes or supplies at various locations. Attend regular staff meetings and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. This temporary, on-call role requires a valid California driver's license with a clean record and the ability to climb stairs, lift 20-30 pounds, and work in a multi-cultural team. The position is represented by SEIU Local 1021 with compensation determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural team
- Valid California driver's license with clean DMV record
- Reliable and prompt to adhere to varied scheduled work time
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able climb stairs, reach, bend, lift 20-30 pounds, crawl, kneel, stoop, twist, grasp with hands and fingers materials, use arms and legs, able to walk, climb ladders if applicable
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk
- Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment
- Close vision required for computer use
- Physical exam
- TB test
- Background/fingerprint clearance
- MMR and Tdap vaccinations
- CPR
- Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with light maintenance preferred
