Job Summary

Unload product from freight, tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise for sales floor or back stock. Restock items on the sales floor and assist customers and associates with retrieving and loading purchased product. Maintain orderly work spaces, perform general cleaning, and organize back stock areas. Add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, and read instructions to write short correspondence. Present information to customers and associates while demonstrating attention to detail and professional appearance. Work assigned schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays with an average of 41 hours weekly, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)
  • one to three months of related experience or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write short correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
  • Ability to be organized, multi-task and maintain all aspects of the Merchandising role
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
  • Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and Merchandiser Leads
  • Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. and 7p.m., Sunday
  • Average hours per week is 41 hours
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Approach daily tasks, projects and follow-up communication with energy and sense of urgency

Desired Qualifications
