Job Summary
Lead the execution of complex multi-disciplinary drinking water treatment projects from design through construction, ensuring compliance with the Ontario Safe Drinking Water Act and regulatory guidelines. Serve as a senior technical reviewer for plant designs and project deliverables, maintaining QA/QC standards while overseeing financial health and performance indicators for the portfolio. Mentor a team of 10 engineers, fostering technical excellence and succession planning while collaborating with capture managers to secure major upgrades and advanced technology studies. Represent AECOM at industry conferences to track emerging trends and develop client contacts with key GTA municipalities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
- 8+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction of municipal drinking water treatment plants
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or transferable within 6 months
- Proven track record of managing technical teams and successful project delivery
- Skilled in delivering a comprehensive strategic vision throughout all phases of multi-million dollar drinking water infrastructure projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish

Desired Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in the design and construction of municipal drinking water treatment plants
- Master's or PhD degrees in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental engineering
- Strong existing relationships with GTA clients and the drinking water industry, including participation/activity in associations
- Progressive experience as Project Manager in municipal water engineering design and construction
- PMP certification
