Job Summary
Provide technical support and expertise in drilling operations to optimize drilling parameters and improve safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to understand objectives, conducting engineering analyses of drilling parameters (weight on bit, drilling fluids, and drill string configurations), monitoring real-time operations, performing post-well analyses, developing technical documentation and drilling plans, and utilizing advanced drilling software and data analytics to maximize performance. Communicates findings through high-quality reports, presentations, and coordination with clients, drilling supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams. Stay current with industry trends and regulatory developments to inform project planning and execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in drilling or a related role in the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of drilling fundamentals, including drilling techniques, drilling fluids, wellbore stability, and drilling equipment
- Experience with drilling optimization, including the selection of drilling parameters and drilling fluid properties
