Job Summary

Operate machines to drill and/or rout panel boards by positioning panels on the machine table, starting operations, and removing boards at cycle end. Check processed parts against templates, monitor tool sizes, and replace or reset tools in the magazine as needed. Manage drill inventory by obtaining, storing, and marking drills requiring re-sharpening. Notify supervisors immediately of any unusual equipment or operating difficulties. Requires standing for long periods, manual dexterity for small drill bits, and ability to occasionally exert up to 50 lbs of force. Training may occur on the first or mid-shift for 4–6 weeks before permanent assignment to the 2nd shift afternoon schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines
  • Use of small drill bits
  • Dexterity required
