Drilling & Completions Engineer

Job Summary
Administer and own the Wellview daily reporting system for Drilling & Completions, monitoring data quality, costs, and daily operations. Perform data queries, pull information from multiple databases, and maintain end-of-well closeouts. Assist engineers with data collection consistency and prepare weekly and quarterly reports alongside AFE packages and supporting procedures. This contract role in Houston, TX, requires Mon, Tuesday, Thursday on-site work and Friday remote availability. Lawful US work authorization without sponsorship is required. Candidates must have 5+ years in data analytics with proficiency in SQL, Spotfire, and Wellview. Wood is a global leader in energy consulting and engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- 5+ years of experience in a hands-on data analytics role including data modeling, data integration, data ingestion, datatransformation, data mining, and data warehousing
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts
- Experience with database design, performance tuning, and scalability
- Experience and knowledge with cloud native data warehouses

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Drilling or Completion Tech
- Proficient in Wellview
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry data

- Familiarity and experience with self-service BI and analytics tools (e.g. Spotfi re, Tableau, Alteryx)
- Preferred experience in Spotfire
