Job Summary
Operate drilling equipment to create boreholes for construction projects across Middle TN, coordinating with the drilling superintendent and blaster to execute established drill patterns. Submit daily production logs and maintain records of drill patterns while performing routine maintenance and inspections on machinery. Adhere to all safety guidelines, participate in daily and weekly safety meetings, and report equipment issues immediately. Work unsupervised on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed. Valid driver's license and proficiency in hydraulic equipment operation required.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in the operation of drilling equipment and various drilling techniques
- Ability to interpret drilling logs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating hydraulic equipment
- Experience working in or around construction site operations and heavy equipment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and fit for duty exam
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have excellent depth perception, hearing, and hands on skills to operate all machines safely
- Must be able to lift individually up to 50 pounds at times 20%-30% of the time
- Stooping, bending, and lifting 30%-40% of the time
- Work on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the construction industry preferred but not required
- Basic to advanced understanding of hydraulics, motors, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues preferred but not required
