Job Summary
Driller Helper position at Maine Drilling & Blasting (MD&B) in Hialeah, FL. Responsibilities include following instructions from Superintendents/Blasting Supervisor/Drill Operators, adhering to safety procedures, learning safety aspects of working around explosives, performing construction labor tasks, loading and unloading explosives, pumping blast holes dry with water pump, carrying stemming stone, maintaining a clean job site, and participating in safety meetings. Requires physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs (60–70% of the time for bending/stretching), flexibility to travel out of town and work overtime, and successful completion of pre-employment physical and ATF background checks. Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen
- Must successfully pass ATF background check screenings

- Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks
