Job Summary
Conduct drilling and blasting operations in open pit quarries while supporting explosive handling duties under the Quarry manager's supervision. Meet daily drilling footage targets to support production demands and complete drill logs with accurate records of drilling and blasting activities. Assist with quarry face safety inspections, drill pad preparation, and report conditions impacting blast quality. Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, safety policies, and environmental procedures. Fill in operating other quarry equipment as needed. Work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule in a physically demanding role involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 2 years of drilling experience in a mining or similar industrial environment
