Job Summary
Driller Assistant role involving driving, operating, and maintaining drill rigs and related equipment in outdoor, two- to three-person crews. Workweek typically Monday–Friday with possible weekends and nights; travel within Greater Puget Sound and eastern WA, with hotel accommodations provided and per diem. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, solving problems, following safety policies, transporting materials, performing physical labor, and maintaining required certifications and training. The position requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug test, possessing a valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory MVR, obtaining and maintaining an interstate DOT Medical Card per FMCSA, meeting IRCA right-to-work requirements, and adhering to PPE and safety protocols (including respiratory protection when specified). Prior experience with sonic, auger, rotary, or direct-push rigs is a plus but not required. Required Qualifications
- Zero experience required ( CDL A preferred for higher starting pay
- Possessing a valid Driver’s License for the state of residence
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Interstate DOT Medical Card (FMCSA requirements)
- Passing a HAZWOPER physical
- Background check
- IRCA right to work in the United States
- Respiratory protection when required by health plan or monitoring
- Pre-trip inspections
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Safety training and compliance with safety policies
- Valid CDL A (preferred for higher starting pay)
- DOT-related safety and regulatory compliance
- Travel and lodging arrangements as needed
