Drill Team and Dance Teacher

Job Summary
Provide students with learning activities and experiences in dance and drill team performance, choreography, and physical fitness to foster artistic, physical, emotional, and social growth. Develop performance skills, teamwork, discipline, and leadership; plan and implement lessons aligned with district curriculum, TEA guidelines, UIL regulations, and competition formats. Instruct and supervise students, manage behavior, and assess progress; collaborate with special education staff for IEP accommodations; oversee all dance/drill team performances, competitions, and community appearances; supervise teacher aides/volunteers and manage program budget, materials, and costumes; maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues; promote professional development and uphold district policies and UIL regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in dance performance and choreography
- Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
- Prior experience directing or performing with a dance or drill team preferred
