DRILL STEM TESTING (DST) OPERATIONS ENGINEER (Resident Status)

Job Summary
Drill Stem Testing (DST) Operations Engineer stationed in Lagos with occasional wellsite visits to support DST and surface well testing projects. Responsibilities include planning DST operations, equipment procurement and preparation, service company coordination, risk assessments and contingency planning, leading CWOP sessions, supervising rigsite activities, ensuring procedures and MOC processes are followed, tracking performance and spend, participating in DWIP meetings, and conducting safety audits and DST-related data entries (WELLVIEW DDR). Requires IWCF Level 4 supervisory qualifications (or completion within 1 month of resumption), BOSIET/THUET and offshore safety permits, and local Nigerian DST knowledge. Multicultural teamwork and strong English communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Engineering with >10-years Deepwater DST experience
- IWCF Level 4 Combined Supervisor. Well Intervention - Engineer Level-4 (or will pass IWCF Level-4 combined in less than 1-month)
- BOSIET/THUET certificate and annual medical examination certificate
- CA-EBS (Emergency Breathing System)
- Offshore Safety Permit (OSP)
- Subsea DST/landing string design and DST String Stress Analysis (using Well CAT or equivalent)
- Surface well test equipment design, sizing and optimization
- Knowledge of DST/well equipment, subsea landing string, general drilling and completion techniques
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving for process and technical issues
- Local regulations governing DST and surface well testing in Nigerian Deepwater Context
