Job Summary
Operate a track mounted Kelly Bar rotary drill using water medium for flush and prepare areas for shots. Perform maintenance on the drill and pump system, conduct daily and monthly machine inspections, and replace bits as needed. Assist in loading and stemming blast patterns, operate loaders and haul trucks, and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues. Adhere to company and MSHA safety rules, participate in safety inspections, and aid in co-worker training. This role is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, with shifts running 6AM to 6PM and weekends as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Must be safety conscious
- Must be dependable
- Must be motivated
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be able to operate a track mounted Kelly Bar rotary drill
- Must be able to operate equipment using water medium for flush
- Must be able to prepare areas for shots
- Must be able to perform maintenance on drill and pumps
- Must be able to maintain a safe working area
- Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues
- Must be able to assist in loading and stemming of blast patterns
- Must be able to participate in safety inspections
- Must be able to follow company and MSHA safety rules and regulations
- Must be able to operate loaders and haul trucks
- Must be able to aid in the training of co-workers
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hydraulic and electrical systems
- Experience with Kelly Bar driven drills
- Experience with electric powered drill
- ATF Clearance
