Job Summary
Operate hydraulic drilling equipment in construction/quarry settings (vertical and/or horizontal drilling) following job programs and safety policies; perform routine maintenance on Epiroc top hammer drills; execute drill patterns and layouts as directed by the Blaster Foreman; manage drill supplies and inventory; communicate terrain and issues to the Blasting Supervisor; complete drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards using the Field Accounting system; participate in safety and job-specific meetings; work unsupervised with safety and efficiency; complete Driller I and Driller II training certifications; meet physical requirements (lift 50-100 lbs, stoop/bend, work on varied surfaces) and possess mechanical/technical aptitude.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience
- Experience with Epiroc top hammer drills or similar preferred
- Valid Driver's License with own reliable transportation, must be a truck
- Must have personal cell phone for communications
- One year experience in the construction industry
- Experience as a construction laborer
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems, desired
- Must be able to pass ATF screenings
