Drill Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate daily exploration diamond drilling activities, manage drill rig scheduling, and oversee drill pad readiness and closure. Serve as the primary field contact for drilling contractors, monitoring their performance, safety compliance, and adherence to contractual requirements. Collaborate with exploration geologists to execute drill plans, coordinate sample handling, and maintain accurate records of operational performance and downtime. Promote a strong safety culture by participating in field inspections, hazard assessments, and ensuring compliance with MSHA and environmental permits. Provide regular updates to leadership on progress and support exploration budget tracking. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering, five years of experience supporting mineral exploration, and the ability to work independently in remote field environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting mineral exploration or drilling operations
- Strong understanding of mineral exploration drilling practices and field operations
- Experience coordinating contractors and managing multiple operational priorities
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with geologists, contractors, and site personnel
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence
- Ability to work independently in remote field environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
- MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 Training
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Defensive Driving Certification
