Job Summary
Review inpatient medical records for DRG assignment validation and documentation improvement using proprietary software and client EMR systems. Provide detailed rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and findings, utilizing industry-recognized references such as ICD-10 Official Guidelines and AHIMA Standards. This role offers growth into client-facing Lead Auditor or internally facing Mentor positions. Candidates must hold current AHIMA credentials (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) and possess three or more years of ICD-10 auditing and DRG reimbursement experience with recent acute inpatient auditing. Base pay ranges from $52,025.00 to $97,528.69 annually, with eligibility for a 5.00% annual bonus plan.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHIMA credentials of one or more of the following: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS
- 3+ years of ICD-10 auditing and DRG reimbursement experience
- Recent acute inpatient auditing experience
