Job Summary
Dredging Superintendent responsible for on-water operations, ensuring production efficiency and strict safety compliance; serves as the main liaison between onsite workers and the Project Manager. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day field activities, guiding and training staff, monitoring project performance and milestones, maintaining safety meetings and reporting hazards or incidents, ensuring compliance with contract terms and legal requirements, maintaining daily field reports and emails, forecasting risks, enforcing company policies, and coordinating with the Project Manager on issues. Requirements include 5+ years of dredging/marine construction supervision, willingness to travel, valid driver’s license, proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, ability to work outdoors in all weather, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently; boating or equipment certifications and US Army Corps of Engineers/OSHA-related credentials are a plus. Job Type: Full-time; Location: Palacios, TX, US; Schedule: 12-hour shift; In-person work. Benefits include 401(k), health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid time off, and other standard benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of superintendent experience on dredging/marine construction
- Travel ability
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency with PC: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to work outside in all weather
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to interact professionally with managers and staff
- Boating or Equipment Certifications a plus
- USACOE Certifications a plus
- OSHA Certifications, First Aid, CPR a plus
