Drayage Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and execute all drayage activities including quotes, appointment confirmation, vessel/rail tracking, carrier selection, and compliance with SOPs. Manage origin/destination operations by controlling terminal relationships, empty container management, and minimizing demurrage while tracking inbound freight milestones. Lead drayage functions in close cooperation with Business Development teams to drive business growth, ensure capacity, and manage daily tracking, customs, and scheduling with facilities and ports. Execute performance reporting and analysis of supplier and vendor transit times. This role supports BD opportunities, onboarding, and booking to provide consistent solutions to internal and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- at least 1 year of 3PL experience
- strong organizational and time management skills
- ability to lead and educate the organization on best-in-class Drayage Operations
- Strong communication skills
- Must possess strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
