Job Summary
Lead beginner-friendly drawing classes focused on plants and natural subjects, guiding students through line, shape, and value fundamentals. Prepare lesson plans, materials, and classroom setup, then adapt instruction to meet participant needs within a safe, inclusive environment. Communicate professionally with ARC staff, site supervisors, and participants throughout the six-week term. This instructor supports the Associated Recreation Council's mission to provide lifelong learning programs for people of all ages in the Seattle community.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching art in a recreational, educational, or community setting (preferred)
- Experience working with seniors and/or young children (parent/tot)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
