Job Summary
Transport raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods to ensure efficient process flow. Drains and fills machines with raw or semi-finished materials as required. Weigh and reconcile scrap in the SAP/MRP system. Convey, load, and process process scrap materials while maintaining process integrity through proper documentation. Operate machinery and achieve key performance metrics. Perform required quality inspections and deliver samples to Ballistics. Assist in mentoring new and temporary associates. Handle hazardous waste by labeling, inspecting, storing, and transferring materials after completing mandatory training. Maintain a clean and orderly work area adhering to 5S standards. Work a 4:30 AM to 3:00 PM shift with overtime and extended hours potentially required. Must possess one year of forklift experience and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, G.E.D. certificate or recognized equivalent
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to communicate effectively with other team members and supervision
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to read and comprehend process instructions
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language sufficient enough to record pertinent process information as required
- One year forklift experience – must be able to pass forklift certification
- Must possess basic personal computer skills sufficient enough to navigate menus and select, open and print documents
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (a/k/a green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Not convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year
- Not a fugitive from justice
- Not an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance
- Not adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to any mental institution
- Not an illegal alien
- Not discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions
- Not subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner
- Not convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
