Job Summary
Prepare, revise, and maintain P&IDs based on Process Engineer redlines, PFDs, and client specifications, ensuring correct application of symbols, line numbering, and valve conventions per ISA and ISO standards. Maintain line lists, valve lists, and instrument indexes while managing drawing revision control across 30%/60%/90% and IFC stages. Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, and Piping teams to ensure consistency, support HAZOP reviews by ensuring drawings are complete and review-ready, and flag inconsistencies between P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment datasheets. Update drawing standards, templates, and title-block conventions, and support vendor package P&ID reviews. Requires 2-4 years of P&ID drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, and strong attention to detail. Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of dedicated P&ID / piping drafting experience in a process equipment, EPC, or plant engineering environment
- Hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Proficiency in 2D P&ID drafting
- Solid working knowledge of P&ID conventions, instrumentation symbology, and piping class basics
- Experience managing drawings through multiple review stages (30/60/90%, IFC) on live projects
- Ability to work independently from engineer sketches/redlines with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be well-versed in recognized P&ID design and drafting standards and able to apply them consistently across projects
Desired Qualifications
- familiarity with AVEVA Diagrams / SmartPlant P&ID
- 3D modeling experience
- Prior exposure to Energy sector equipment (skids, pressure vessels, heat exchangers)
- Defence-sector documentation rigor
