Job Summary
Dramatics Assistant for the Winter Show responsible for supervising all activities of the student organization, overseeing elections and certifying results, approving candidates for club offices, training officers, maintaining governance documents, coordinating announcements and events, and ensuring compliance with district policies. The role involves representing the club at events, maintaining equipment inventory, coordinating with the Assistant Principal for Student Services and the Activity Director, and facilitating effective communication and administration of extracurricular activities within Glenbard East High School. Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential; familiarity with Skyward and school policies is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Supervise all activities of the student organization
- Approve all club announcements, meeting dates, club activities, flyers, t-shirts, etc.
- Be present at every meeting, social affair, and fund-raising activity
- Submit the constitution or charter, if warranted, of an organization when first organized
- Coordinate with APSS and/or Activity Director to ensure access to accounts in Skyward
- Knowledge and Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents; Ability to write professional communications; Ability to present information effectively; Ability to respond to questions; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; Ability to perform basic mathematics; Ability to solve practical problems; Ability to maintain current job skills especially in technology-related activities; Ability to comply with school district requirements and policies
- Ability to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops at other sites as assigned
- Follow guidelines in Student Activity and Convenience Funds Handbook
- Be present at Activity Night and Booster Award Night to represent the club/activity
- Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings
- Coordinate with APSS to access accounts in Skyward
- Ability to supervise elections and certify results; Train officers and members; guide operations of the club
- Disqualifications for holding office: significant disciplinary records
