Job Summary
Drama Teacher & Theater Productions role combining teaching Drama to elementary students (≈50% of timetable) with directing/leading secondary school theater productions (≈50%). Requires strong expertise in drama, experience teaching or directing classical theater (Shakespeare desirable), and ability to develop engaging productions while fostering student growth within a collaborative international school community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Performing Arts or related fields; Master’s degree preferred
- Strong expertise in drama
- Experience teaching Drama within a school setting
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for theater and performance
- Experience teaching or directing classical theater, including Shakespeare
- Demonstrated interest in student development and optimism for students’ ability to learn and grow
- Ability to learn and apply local Chinese educational standards as well as new technologies
- Interest in and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
- Ability to collaborate, establish rapport and communicate in a Dual Language Immersion environment
