Job Summary
Drama/English Teacher for the Antelope Valley Union High School District (Antelope Valley) for the 2026/2027 school year. Responsibilities include standards-based instruction and curriculum, development of small learning communities, use of research-based instructional strategies and formative assessments, and collaboration with staff. The role involves working with at-risk youth in a Title I setting, promoting multicultural education, implementing secondary literacy initiatives, and leveraging basic computer programs (PowerSchools, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word & Excel). Requirements include EL Authorized English credential with Supplemental Authorization in Theater (credential required), fingerprint and drug test clearance, and CA Driver's License; candidates must provide transcripts, letters of recommendation or references, and a current resume.
