Job Summary

Lead business development and technical project delivery for high-profile structural engineering initiatives involving stormwater management, floodplain mapping, and low impact development. Manage a portfolio of water resource projects for provincial, regional, and municipal clients while serving as Engineer of Record to review designs, permits, and cost estimates. Direct a team of water resource engineers and technicians, overseeing resource planning, workload management, and staff development to ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance. Collaborate with internal practice leaders and external partners to support integrated, multidisciplinary project delivery across Western Canada. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies such as the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation registered with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in water resources engineering, transportation infrastructure projects, and project delivery
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software, including: SWMHYMO, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, CulvertMaster
  • Familiarity with spatial mapping and design tools such as: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
  • Experience with municipal and highway design standards, specifications, and deliverable requirements related to roadway and bridge projects
  • Experience working with Conservation Authorities and regulatory agencies such as: Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), Conservation Halton (CH), Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities while meeting schedule and budget requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collaborative and positive team environment
  • Proven business development experience and ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Desired Qualifications

  • Registration in additional provinces
  • Experience with alternative project delivery models, including Design-Build (DB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), and Design-Build-Finance (DBF)
