Job Summary
Drain Technician responsible for thorough diagnostics of drainage issues and drain-line cleaning using rotary knives on flexible cables with a reel machine. Responsibilities include removing drain covers with a wrench, selecting and mounting knives for pipe diameter, operating the machine to feed and adjust the cable, removing roots and debris, depositing residues for disposal, measuring distance to leaks, repairing pipe breaks, and maintaining a professional image and safety adherence. Requires ability to work outdoors in varied conditions, physical strength for lifting, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; GED or HS diploma accepted; 2 years of verifiable residential drain-cleaning experience and familiarity with plumbing concepts and tools. The role is hourly, based in Indianapolis, IN, and performed in-person.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years verifiable drain cleaning experience in a residential service and maintenance operation
- Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, best practices, procedures, tools, and equipment
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
