Job Summary
Drain Technician needed for steady, full-time residential service work in the Columbus area. Responsibilities include clearing residential drain lines (sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, main sewer lines), operating professional drain cleaning equipment (snakes, augers, hydro-jetters), performing sewer camera inspections to diagnose blockages or pipe damage, identifying root causes and recommending repair or maintenance solutions, providing clear explanations to homeowners, and maintaining safe, organized work areas while following company safety standards and service procedures. Hours are Monday–Friday during daytime hours. The role emphasizes diagnosing issues, using specialized drain cleaning tools, customer-focused communication, and independent field work.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of drain cleaning or plumbing experience required
- Experience with drain cleaning machines, sewer cameras, and jetting equipment is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls
- Good communication and customer service skills
