Job Summary
Review customer drawings and convert them into extrusion-ready technical documentation. Assist in developing CAD models, print revisions, tolerances, and technical notes while supporting quoting activities through drawing interpretation. Work directly with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of designs and help troubleshoot customer issues based on extrusion capabilities. Manage customer accounts and respond to technical inquiries, visiting sites to provide guidance and ensure successful applications. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate quotes, lead times, and project updates. This role offers a clear career pathway from technical training to a full Sales Engineer position within a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications

- Strong social and communication skills — comfortable working with people at all levels
- High attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Ability to learn manufacturing processes and apply technical concepts
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to grow into a sales-oriented career
- Willingness to travel occasionally (mostly day trips) but primarily on-site in Wylie, TX
- Auto CAD, Drafting, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for customer visits as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD or technical drafting (AutoCAD, or similar) preferred
- Prior exposure to aluminum extrusion, machining, manufacturing, or fabrication is a plus but not required
