Job Summary
Draftsman responsible for drawing custom cabinet requests using CAD and producing CNC-ready files. Create descriptive drawings and files for non-standard cabinet or accessory requests, call customers to gather details, and build relationships with the customer base. Organize daily/weekly work to return jobs promptly and develop expertise on current product lines by collaborating on the floor with manufacturing. Produce drawings for Sales & Marketing catalogs and provide product research and engineering input to R&D, including costing and manufacturing processes. Act as a key RD team member, manage multiple tasks, and support new product development from conception through prototypes and collaboration with production for one-off builds. Location-based collaboration for KS (Wichita) with close interaction across RD, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Sales.
Required Qualifications
- CAD proficiency
- ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- experience with cabinet/furniture manufacturing
- ability to create descriptive job files for CNC
- effective communication with customers and internal teams
- experience drawing prototypes and working with production teams
- organization and prioritization of workload
- familiarity with product development and R&D processes
