Job Summary
Prepare detailed construction drawings using Revit software, including permit set plans and 3D models for commercial projects. Convert conceptual designs and redlines into construction-ready drawings while coordinating across MEP, structural, and civil trades to avoid conflicts. Revise drawings based on feedback and ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA requirements. Maintain organized drawing files and documentation in company systems, and participate in project coordination meetings as needed. This full-time, office-based role involves occasional site visits and supports business development, project managers, and superintendents in driving projects from concept to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Revit
- Create and manage 3D models for commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of building codes and permitting processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-solving mindset
- Organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Experience working with a commercial general contractor preferred
- Familiarity with MEP coordination is a plus
