Job Summary
Drafting Technician to join LANL's Drafting & Design team. Responsible for producing and detailing routine CAD drawings/layouts of components, facilities, and systems; generating/modifying CAD drawings of moderate complexity; ensuring drawings meet industry codes, standards, and customer specifications; collaborating with engineering to ensure drawing quality; developing CAD drawings and models under supervision; performing calculations; applying engineering design principles to components and assemblies; delivering work within budget and schedule; understanding fabrication, construction, operation, and maintenance requirements; working both independently and in a team; and participating in process improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Years of Experience – High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Citizenship – United States (U.S.) citizen
- Clearance – ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed
