Job Summary
Drafting Technician (Field Project Engineer) at Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corp. performs field surveys, measures openings, and creates detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and BOMs; designs parts and assemblies for new/existing products; identifies process improvements to boost project efficiency; interprets industry standards; develops shop drawings and specialized spreadsheets; CAD modeling and SolidWorks experience is preferred; training on Capitol’s product line will be provided; strong attention to detail and proficiency with CAD, Excel, and office software are valued; valid driver’s license and routine background checks are required; company emphasizes weekly pay, health and retirement benefits, and a family-oriented environment.
