Job Summary
Full-time Drafting and Layout role based in Mississauga. Responsible for assembling information to produce detailed shop drawings and fabrication layouts, in collaboration with the Project Team. Read project specifications and Sales Work Orders to ensure consistency with company standards, produce shop drawings and fabrication layouts on schedule, purge and file drawings and project documents, and perform quantity takeoffs as needed. Requires AutoCAD proficiency and working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF. Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and effective communication within a team; overtime may be required to meet deadlines. Use of API/AI not mentioned. Use of cross-functional collaboration with Salesperson, Production Manager, Project Coordinator, Production Coordinator, and Shop Foreman is essential.
Required Qualifications
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Ability to read Architectural, Mechanical and Structural drawings
- Numeracy and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe PDF
- Detail oriented, organized, proactive
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Team collaboration with Salesperson, Production Manager, Project Coordinator, Production Coordinator and Shop Foreman
- Overtime may be required to meet deadlines
