Job Summary
Draft 2D traffic plans using AutoCAD and supervise other technicians. Create written strategies and technical reports in MS Word for clients. Collaborate with engineers to complete professionally sealed drawings and develop temporary traffic control strategies. Build rapport with general contractors and road governing authorities while communicating design changes to project managers. Research and implement methods that add value to engineering service products. Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages per specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education in related field such as Construction Management, Design and Mechanical Systems, or related field
- Intermediate experience using AutoCAD designing and drafting
- Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who bring AutoCAD Level 1 Diploma or Certificate
- 3-5 previous experience in the traffic or road safety/construction industry
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Alberta Construction Safety Association's (ACSA's) Alberta Temporary Traffic Control (ATTC) course for Traffic Control Supervisor's
- Knowledge of vehicle tracking and Google Earth
- Understanding of temporary work zone designs construction phasing
