Job Summary
Gather design inputs from Project Managers, Sales, and customers to design products using SolidWorks software. Compile, document, and check CAD models and drawings for conformance to CTI engineering standards. Interface with Project Managers, Sales Engineers, and customers to ensure designs satisfy Scope of Work, budgetary guidelines, and design for manufacturability. Perform miscellaneous engineering duties as directed under the supervision of the Design Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several absolute and concrete variables
- advanced proficiency in the creation of CAD Models for product designs
- Training and/or proven proficiency in injection mold design/process/tooling
- proficiency in CAD applications (SolidWorks)
- proficiency in drawing mechanics and creation
- proficiency in print reading
- Ability to use Microsoft Products – PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
