Job Summary
Create Shop Detail drawings and designs for production and manufacturing, including generating BOMs for Shop Details. Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks with exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Check details of others' work and read blueprints to ensure mechanical assemblies are correct. Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers on material handling projects while maintaining a clean work environment. Prioritize safety in all designs and apply critical thinking to develop creative solutions. Manage time effectively to complete error-free work within required timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Organization is a must
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must Be Safety Minded and consider safety concerns in all designs, whether yours or not
- Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
- Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
- Have or the ability to learn to use SolidWorks
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the bulk material conveying system is a plus
- Understand how parts are assembled
- Mechanically inclined
- Prefer a minimum of two-year degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, and/or AutoCAD
