Produce accurate tooling and fixture drawings using Creo Parametric to enable manufacturing and release-ready documentation. Create approximately 40 new drawings and update 55 existing ones, verifying conformance with physical hardware and adhering to organizational standards. Perform tolerance studies and calculations to support drawing accuracy while utilizing specifications, vendor data, and reference materials. This short-term, onsite assignment near Charleston, SC, requires six years of drafting experience, proficiency in 2D/3D CAD/CAM, and knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Required Qualifications
- Six years of drafting experience
- AA degree in drafting
- trade-school engineering certificate
- demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities
- Proficient Creo Parametric skills
- minimum of 6,000 hours of hands-on experience with Creo Parametric
- Experience designing fixtures and tooling for aerospace or related fields
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5)
- Familiarity with military engineering drawing standards (DOD-STD-100 and DOD-D-1000)
- Understanding of machine shop practices
- Understanding of descriptive geometry
- Understanding of trigonometry
- Proficiency with 2D CAD/CAM
- Proficiency with 3D CAD/CAM wireframe
- Proficiency with 3D CAD/CAM solids
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- ability to work as a participative team player
- Comfortable using personal computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
